OUR DOCTORS Assoc. Prof. Hale Yapıcı Eser, M.D. Psychiatry REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT She completed the residency education at Psychiatry Department, School of Medicine, Gazi University in 2013. She attended the Neuroscience doctorate program within the scope of MD-PHD program at School of Medicine, Hacettepe University from 2006-2013 and was awarded the title of “Doctor of Science”. She conducted short-term studies on psychiatric genetics at Biological Psychiatry Institute of Copenhagen University in Denmark in 2011, psychotic disorders at McLean Hospital, Harvard University in 2012 and depression, anxiety and stress research center of the same university in 2016. She is co-coordinator of Koç University Neuroscience Doctorate Program, board member of KUTTAM (Koç University Research Center for Translational Medicine) and Director of KUPTEM (Koç University Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy Center). She carries out investigations on action mechanisms of stress and neurobiology and phenomenology of mood and anxiety disorders. She was educated on cognitive behavioral therapy. Principal areas of clinical interest: Mood disorders, Anxiety disorders, Stress-related disorders, Parkinson’s disease and other neurologic diseases as well as obesity-related psychiatric disorders.
